When they mentioned this on the show I was blown away by the idea! I'm dying to hear the games. When are we going to see/hear it? ??

The most recent podcast said sometime soon, I hope that wasn't a lie - looking forward to hearing this.

I've never run a Sci-Fi game, but this makes me want to, hell what I wouldn't give to just sit down and generate a couple of characters with this system. It sounds awesome so far, let me know if the character generation tables ever make it out for "testing"

Thanks.

. . . and I'm so pissed I went and bought Age of Rebellion and have sat down and worked through its wonky die mechanic when, if I'd waited a few weeks, I'd have had these source materials using a system I already use (and regularly abuse) . . . Choices, choices which one to run? (Maybe just use the fluff from Rebellion and Edge? - has anyone else noticed that FFG appear to have redrawn the Galaxy, ignoring the Galaxy mapped by the EU and previous Star Wars RPG's?) Aaron

Aaron Do you not like AoR or EotE? I much prefer the narrative dice mechanic. Actually I like it . . . but if I'd known this was coming I'd have stuck with Traveller - just because I know it (like Stu with GURPS). Though to be honest I'd still have bought AoR and EoE, just not quite so soon . . . as the Star Wars itch would have been scratched sufficiently by the above. I like the die mechanic but I do like Travellers simplicity . . . more annoying with FFG is the cost of the dice and realising that one set really won't be enough (more dice for my ever filling box). But what gets me is the Galaxy map . . . things are in different places. Now either they've changed the orientation of how it's viewed or they've redone the map? If the later which map is now 'canon'? . . . (mind you George did far worse in terms of 'canon' trashing, eg: midachlorines, so I shouldn't really complain) EDIT: Phew - they've changed the orientation . . . sort of swiveled it anticlockwise 90 degrees Aaron

I have a old A3 fold-out map I use for my games anyway, so I just ignore the other one.

Basically I need a new box with compartments - cause before each game I have to spend 20mins fishing out the right dice. They look pretty but I don't think an EoE d6 would work in Traveller or IK Aaron
