Tacklebox might work. Compartments for the special dice, and a large bin style area for the rest. I use an ammo box, and separate the special ones with bags or tins.

I'm confused.... You say this as though it's a bad thing.... 'splain yerself man!!!! Basically I need a new box with compartments - cause before each game I have to spend 20mins fishing out the right dice. They look pretty but I don't think an EoE d6 would work in Traveller or IK Aaron Yes. Ask you know Aaron, I was toying with buying one if the FFG Star Wars games for my boy. But the price of the dice, and the fact they can't be used for anything else… I think I might wait a while, and maybe get him the D&D starter set instead

I play the FFG x-wing : now if they shared some dice that'd be easier to swallow (given they're similar but not the same) Aaron

Yeah but I want to roll FIST FULLS OF DICE! So I bought three sets on sale for 8 bucks a piece. There's just something magical about using symbol dice gang...or I've probably been inhaling Fantasy Flights meth flavored cardboard too long... I've begun to take my Les Miserables gaming group (quaintly and creatively titled) "The Miserable Gamer Group" through Edge of the Empire Character gen. Not to hijack Commander Roper's lovely Traveller sub thread...but I do have a question ? I've never run a Star Wars campaign before. Short one-two shot sessions only. What does the community recommend for (and this has probably been discussed before) including canon and meta plot in their games based in "existing worlds" like the Star Wars universe ? So far I want to reinforce that the first Death Star has just been destroyed and the Empire is going to come down hard on all planets involved...including Tatooine where the PCs will begin. But at the same time its a fuckin' galaxy and life will go on for those that aren't the major players. So, I think I want to have the first simple sessions involve "bounty hunting" for one of the Hutts but through all of this a very occupied Iraq feel will occur with Storm Troopers everywhere. But pockets of resistance blowing shit up "For Alderan!". While recruitment for the Empire is full effect... But at the same time I don't want this to turn immediately into a Rebel's game. But more Firefly. Thoughts ?

Tatooine is more Hutt controlled than Empire, so I'd imagine 'coming down heavy' would be the token posting of a couple of extra military units on planet. Though it'd more like be a punishment duty for corrupt and/or under performing officers/troopers. Aaron

Yeah that's an aspect of the "meta plot" I'm still trying to understand. I'm no Star Wars extended universe guru. But the more that I read the more I really enjoy of the universe. Why are giant slugs (Hutts) so powerful ? Why does the world where the last of the remaining Jedi hid out and the plans to destroy the most powerful weapon ever created crash landed not suddenly under very close scrutiny ? Is it a hyperspace highway thing ?

Well one Darth Vader never sets foot on Tatooine . . . is that because it was the homeworld of Anakin and the place he first sets upon the path to the Darkside (killing that village of Sandpeople) - remember that 'there is good in him still'. In one of the Dark Horse Comics Vader faces off against a resurrected Maul in trial to see 'who is the true Sith apprentice, Vader wins because 'he has more hate' than Maul. The dying Maul asks who could Vader hate so much . . . the answer is, of course, himself . . . Thus Vader gives Tatooine a wide berth, also making it one of the safest places in the Galaxy for a rogue Jedi to hide. . . Aaron

I was just wondering if the SW Traveller mod was ever published? In other words, do the rest of us get to enjoy the fruits of Bill's labor or is it exclusive to him and his friends?

So I posted this in the thread specifically about Bills campaign, but perhaps it's better to have it here. While Bill converted Star Wars weapons, he didn't do armor, so I took a crack at it. Comments and critiques are welcome. I redid the list.I lowered the protection for Laminate and Mandolorian armor and added a couple power suits.

Love the actual play and the character gen with Stork and Rob. I attached 2 .XLSX spreadsheet I made for Traveller Character recording. I is an example of a character. The other is a blank form. Books used to create the hidden list sheet (skills and psionics) 1. Zhodani 2. Mercenary 3. High Guard 4. Scout 5. Psion 6. Scoundrel Hope it helps folks.
