Ahoy Bastards!

I thought it appropriate to build a Jackercon V theme around the 35th anniversary of ALIEN. Also, as it will be "strangely" close to Halloween a con focused on a more horror style game should be fun. As I've stated many times before I think online games do horror very well. We will again be running the con for seven days from November 1-8. (always remembering the internet never closes) Also, remember that my goal for these cons is just to get the chance to meet and game with all you magnificent bastards, so don't let the theme restrict your game choice. Yes, malifer a Kobolds Ate My Baby (in Space!) is just fine.

I'm definitely thinking about borrowing from the ViewScream system as a way to utilize G+ Hangouts to augment a game.

Everyone bags on the Hippos. Those creators were innovative and before their time.

If it had not been for the Giff coming out and saying it was okay to be a even-toed ungulate in space, do you truly believe we would have ever been able to accept the odd-toed ungulate in space we have in Doctor Who's Space Rhinos.

I think Spelljammer's Gravity is a little crazier than the hippo.

A lot of grief would have been avoided if they'd gone with option A straight away . . . "No colonists to be seen, the place is a mess - lets immediately get back on board the drop ship and raze the planet". (NB: Newt dies, off camera,at the start of the third film so in strict body count terms they'd have been ahead with an intact compliment of Colonial Marines and an intact ship).
