So I'm thinking I might start running Encounters at my FLGS. Usually when I'm introducing people to a system I like to make cheat sheet mats to put in front of the players. I typically get Artscow mouse pads made with custom graphics. Here is my first draft of a 5e mat. Very rough draft, almost all of the fonts are correct to match the rule books, but I haven't proofed any spelling or grammar yet. Mostly still determining content and layout. What other information would you say is important is brand new players? Version Zero

I like it HourEleven, but I wouldn't have the actions fade out like that. Bonus and Reaction are really hard to read.

Very pretty!
By playing with the font, is there a chance you might be able to fit some examples onto the sheet for the various categories? Things that give you advantage, examples of reaction like opportunity attacks, etc. I'd also try to put the proficiency bonus on there somewhere since it governs so much.
It all depends on how much information you want in front of them - there's an advantage to basically giving the players their own version of a GM screen like lowkeyoh's sheet, but there's something pretty rad about something as high quality as what you're doing.

Personally I like the fade out for those other things, but maybe make them fade out less (for more readability). You can add a few things, but I'd stick with simplicity and clarity for your design (instead of smaller fonts and examples).

Adding something about Inspiration would also be nice since it's a very new mechanic for D&D.

On second thought, with a couple small editions you've probably got close to enough info on there, but I'd use something like Lowkeyoh's sheets as the player-side of the GM screen.

Nice. Both look very helpful. I´m still reading 5e, but these might come in handy, thanks.
