Well, 4th D&D is no longer the king of blunders in the gaming world Warhammer Ridiculous New VersionIts like they don't even know their own audience. Lower the prices? Stop making game shops sign draconian anti-competition agreements? Update some armies instead of only working on the top 4 favored? Sell a product like it is the 21st century and no longer 1985? No. No. Let's make the game silly.

Sadly, I will still argue to my grave that 1st Ed was the best for fantasy and 40k.

In 4e's defense, there was a lot of gold.
Also, what's with articles making you click through 11 pages instead of having a list of 11 things on it.

I dislike that as well Lowkeyoh, but most sites just say "yea, their players are angry", this one gave examples.

The entirety of Age of Sigmar reads like an April fools joke.

I wonder if they forgot to include the "For Ages 5-11" on the preview.

I really enjoy the Argument Phase including a Twister game board...

All they really needed to do was append the old warhammer skirmish rules to include the balance changes from Lord of the Rings (control zones, etc.) and they would have a not shit version of what they released. I just don't get it.

If it's true.... Let's be fair. This wouldn't be the first false news article that would have been written and/or gained traction....
It just seems a little too over the top for me to immediately buy into.

Nope. 100% true. They came out and said that all the ridiculous rules that make you look like a fool and mess up tournaments are only on old models (which they said they'd continue to support because a fantasy army costs 2k dollars) and were put there to discourage their use and encourage buying new models. Said in an interview with an official Sigmar Rep. They want to add new factions and get rid of a lot of old models (hence destroying the fantasy universe in canon to start over).

Not to defend Games Workshop...money hungry bastards anyway. But a brief perusal of their pdf Age of Sigmar and the various Battle Scrolls I'm not seeing any of the goofball rules. Escapist maybe isn't the most reliable source...it is the home of the Zero Punctuation guy. www.games-workshop.com/en-US/age-of-sigmar-compendiums

Its so bad that people can't believe they're real lol. Its not just Escapist. Official Dwarf Rules for Official Dwarves, from official websiteTake a look down there on Longbeards. Old Grumblers: In your hero phase, you can complain about something in a suitably Dwarfish manner. For example, the hardships you endured when you were younger, how the youth of today don’t respect their elders, how expensive beer is etc. If you do, this unit of Longbeards will join in and you can pick one of the grumblings listed below. The effects last Its real. You can't get more official than Games-Workshop's own website. Here's another website with some more "choice" rules. The screenshots are from the official website, so you can look up the names of the units from the official source on the site too. More Games Workshop Fun
