Yup, always a loss.
There is also a fun risk to it as well aside from addiction but I am not sure if it is fully explain in the core book.
If I remember correctly humanity drop also brings the possibility of getting derangements...But I'll have to checker to be sure

The two best paths for Albert would be the Path of the Feral Heart or The Path of Harmony Changing paths is not an easy task especially for Campires. It's a total paradigm shift of his outlook on life and death and how to control the beast. I believe it requires him to seek out a willing mentor (Sabbat these days), then has to pretty much do something to bring his humanity from 1 to zero. Only then to make a check for his new path (diff 7 or 8) and not fail or botch, going into Wassail. This means the Beast takes total control (possibly forever). Remember Stork is rolling this.

Yeah. He and I had a conversation about this, as I recently read the rules about Paths.
He's aware there are difficult rolls involved ... I *did* warn him.

I'm more concerned about where he's going to find a sympathetic Sabbat teacher...

I'm more concerned about where he's going to find a sympathetic Sabbat teacher... Who knows? That place where the Malk (staked by Skully) is from, has a Sabbat problem. As it is written: One Malkavian's problem is another Stork's opportunity for a Mentor. Just gotta nudge him over to that story line.

Maybe Albert gets to learn to play the Adoption Game from a City Gangrel.

Don't forget that many vampires are independant or anarchs and does not fit in the sabbat/camarilla dichotomy.
The gangrels were an independent clan for the majority of their history. Finding an older gangrel that is not sabbat on that path is not impossible...But rather quite probable.

There's dozens of them quite literally checking every box that rolls ashore.

I think if boxes the size of caskets started showing up on Huntington Beach, people would notice.

I'm sure he could hug his knees for a few hours to fit into a smaller box. Or just turn into a wolf and chill in a dog crate.

One of Anthony's old chum could come and visit...And decide to teach those pups a few things
Also, vampire frenzy gives t +2 to the difficulty of mental discipline used on them...the werewolves likely have something similar, at least.
