I can't be the only one who raised an eyebrow when the (possibly) Assamite assassin showed up on security cam. My first thought was, "... Blade?"

You're not wrong. The cover photo for the Assamite splat book looks like Blade to the T.
On a side note, but don't Assamites actually eat flesh on top of drinking blood? I vaguely remember a Vampire clan that couldn't be sated by blood and had to eat pounds of flesh.

Not the Assamites. The only *clan* that requires flesh is the Nagaraja, but they're OMG so rare. Of course, individual characters can require flesh with the conspicuous consumption flaw.

Best flaw ever next to "Savage Genitalia".

Savage genitalia... wasn't that from the ill-fated Wraethulhu RPG?

Nope, from the Freak Legion book where you could play as Fomori. You could get it as a flaw if I remember correctly, which as a Fomori a flaw is actually an ability you can do usually with some social cost. It made playing regular Joe people as Fomori a lot of fun because you were always on that razors edge of "am I a monster" and "Yes, you are a monster".
