Hello Stu Venable and fellow vaginal irrigationaries, 2015 has ended. Various end of year celebrations are being had, family functions, and for me, this is a time which makes it difficult to schedule gaming. As such, I'm in a short-lived gamer funk. What better way to deal with the situation, but to think back on the year and relive whatever glories were had. My personal favorite gamer moment of 2015 was during a Dungeon World game I was running for my regular crew. They were travelling underground, and running low on ammunition, food, water, and other supplies. At some point, one player (not character) said he was thirsty, and I went and poured him a glass of water. His character, in game, was carrying much of the water supplies. It was at that point that I told the player, as I sat the pint glass of water in front of his face, that the glass represented the water he was carrying in game. If he drank it, their water was gone. If he drank half, half their water was gone. The look of pain in his eyes was palpable. He smacked his lips. The other players looked over, and begged him not to drink. There was a few seconds of contemplation, and then he downed the glass, to a room full of moaning. It was a GM moment I'll never forget. Before we move on to 2016 and more gaming, Strategicons and douche baggery, what about y'all? What was your favorite gaming moment of 2015? Much love, Tomes

Favorite show based moment? Probably Mote of Sin as a whole.
Least favorite show based moment? Dude beating it and then releasing all over the game the Swedish girl was running.

- Show moments: Hearing about Swords and Wizardry appreciation day, and writing in for advice on my first convention games.
- RPG as a whole: Attending my first convention (details in S16E04) and subsequently meeting a number of local people who are into gaming.
- As a player: Finally facing a horror from the Cthulhu mythos in Call of Cthulhu.
- As a GM: Getting to see what Traveller character generation was like. Then getting to see what Dogs in the Vineyard character gen was like.

Favorite show game moment: "Hey Kimi, I rolled damage for this rocket launcher attack, but do you want to roll it instead?" The best.
Least favorite gaming moment this year: In a recent Savage Worlds game I was playing in I literally put my uzi into the ear of a giant armored Oni and unloaded the clip. The GM said the armor bonus still counted because of "Armored Skin" and shouldn't bypass the armor bonus of the Oni at all, which included worn armor. Scored no hits, spent two bennies to re-roll and got two raises, still scored no hits. Tempted to table flip.
Favorite Game Moment this year: Riding a giant greek statue of Patrick Swayze and killing Starspawn with it.

Favourite gaming moment of 2015 had to have been getting to Gateway, after playing in only online games for close to a year getting to attend such a great con (attended by such amazing people) completely revitalised my interest in the hobby. Of the games I ran there the Firefly session would have to come top, the players were great and approached the scenario in a way that stuck true to the ethos of the show.

Strategicon, Warriors GURPS, very very close second would be Into the Looking Glass GRIMM. Both games struck a chord for very different reasons. These two games alone were more than worth the trip.
Naturally I raced to sign up for their games this year. Sorry Nerds enjoy your tickets MWAHAHAHA!!!!! j/k GL I definitely suggest leaping at the sign up sheets for:
Locus: A Needle in Infinite Haystacks Happy Jacks Presents - Frights of the Round Table
I played several other fantastic games, just these were two that for me personally really hit all the right buttons for what I enjoy.
Can't wait for Orccon!

Favorite gaming moment of 2015: Legendary TSR Old-School grognard Frank Mentzer shook my hand and complimented my Grindhouse. That felt damn good, in a vindicating sort of way.
