Here's a bit of a recap of the LongCon I ran at this past Dreamation. I ran 3 sessions, 3 days in a row, In total 7 players played more than one night, and 4 of them played all three nights.
I was testing out some of the playbooks for the current kickstarter, as well as some of the new promotion advancement options.
Beginning Promotion Tags included: A Cable Deal & Something else?
Starting Troubles included: Bad Sponsorship Deal, and In Debt
The Roster
The Foreigner: Molson, A Canadian heel, that every face in the company wanted to beat up. Eventually had a group of RCMP backing him up.
The Monster: Big Ben Kronus a punk rock Brit face, that had a few mythi moment,s including a Test of strength in which a test of strength led to him lifting his opponent straight up in a stalling handstand/suplex thing!
The Shoot fighter: Carlos Oklahoma, a Columbian ex-Soccer player (I mistakenly thought he was the Cultural champion for half the first session!)
The Technician: The Lost Boy Jon Kidd, a British ex-footballer (aka Soccer)
The Time Bomb: "Dollar" Bill Carson, who later became "Bit Coin" Bill Carson, because he was still relevant! He was a Millionaire styled guy, who's wealth got the company out of debt. Heel. Died of Bismuth poisoning in the ring.
The Anti-Hero: Nocturne, A pastiche of Sting, claimed to be a face, but was very heelish.
The Indy Darling: "The Straight Shooter" Derrick Dillinger, a Youtube sensation that wrestles with a gopro camera, His entrance was never the same because he was so awestuck that he made it to the big leagues. He once had his real life wedding interrupted by Nocturne.
The Iconoclast: Sumo, who later became Yakuza, who had the power to draw Yakuza tattoos on wrestlers, and turn them into Yakuza Zombies. heel
The Jobber: "Lumber" Jack: He's a bad guy lumberjack.
The Manager: Dr. Tammy Bysmal, former product shill with Carlos Oklahoma, later girlfriend of Carlos, then betrayed him to manage Molson. Was also secretly sleeping with Molson's real life off camera girlfriend/boyfriend. Molson never found out.
AND WE EVEN HAD A GUEST STAR!
The Celebrity Guest/Guest Referee: Susie Queue: A B-movie actress currently staring in the film Amazon Princess, her entrance theme, the 70s Wonder Woman theme.
The guest star came around, because a woman, I've met and gamed with several times, asked if we minded her just sitting in and listening to us lay, cause it sounded so fun, and I was okay. Halfway through the session, I asked if she'd like to play a guest star, they worry about a lot less than the talent, and she said "SURE!" It was great.
I do a bit of a recap that Probie Tim might be interested in perusing, but it's long.
Rather than past my entire post here's a link to my G+ recap
