So I have been taking a break from GMing to be a player in a Pathfinder game. Well our Pathfinder GM was not ready the other night so everyone got out their Solomon Kane characters and I dusted off the GM screen.
It just went - beautifully. The players were inventive. (Fighting the undead with furniture became a thing...) There was fear of actual death at the end. The players even pieced together clues that gave them background but wasn't required to solve the plot.
I just had to share how wonderfully Zombie Apocalypse 1615 went...

I love the Solomon Kane stories, or really anything by Howard so far... I picked up the SK:SW rulebook for my brother a few years ago, but we haven't gotten a chance to really try it out.

I bought my make the SW corebook a few years ago for his birthday. But he's only just getting round to running a campaign. He was thinking about Deadlands, but I recommended Soloman Kane and he's thoroughly enjoying it.

Kainguru that looks damn interesting. Easily runnable in SW deluxe rules using mad scientist rules...
Yeah Solomon Kane is a load of fun. I have updated where bennies don't give you potential xp at the end (because people hoard them then) and also updated to the newer shaken recovery rules but otherwise I have left the system alone.
