Sir Guido,
I agree whole heartedly!! The other thing that gets me is volgarity for the sake of shock and awe... I'm NO prude and I don't mind the occassional F-bomb, but when it's all potty humor and rank profanity in place of inteligent content - no thanks.
I like Fear the Boot, Pulp Gamer, Kicked in the Dice Bag and Flagons and Dragons for chatter, ideas and stories. Critical Hit's 4e actual play is fun and they touch on some min/max issues, some rules and give a decent view of the mechanics in action. The various actual play Call of Cthulhu stuff from Yog Suthoth are pretty funny and usually have decent story happening. The Tome Show is usually good, but not the top of my list...
I'm partial to horror stories, so I listen to HPPodcrafdt, the Cthulhu podcast, Pseudopod and We're Alive.
I'm a desk jockey, so I have 8 hours to mindless work to keep me distracted while I listen. :-)

These days, I tend to prefer banter to "gaming advice." Or at least, a more wandering discussion rather than trying to seriously address a particular topic. After you've listened to a season or two of a couple gaming podcasts, there's not really much in the way of gaming advice that's left to be covered.
If you don't get the appeal of Actual Play podcasts, I highly suggest Role Playing Public Radio. Their APs are what really sold me on Call of Cthulhu. Check out "Lover in the Ice" for a great example. It's great storytelling, and very little in the way of "I'm rolling attack, I'm rolling damage" drudgery. (Of course, that's a feature of CoC games in general. Fights tend not to last more than a few rounds...)

Happy Jacks is the only RP podcast I go out of my way to listen too right away. Plus I usually listen to it 2-3 times as it is enjoyable. I have other RP podcasts: Bear sward, Ftb, Smiling Jacks. Bear Swarm has gotten better recently as they started actually talking about RPGs again ( and they are similar to HJ in the way they sound like a bunch of friends sitting around the table BSing ). Smiling Jacks I mainly listen too as I'm a Savage Worlds Junky, and I just like to support a podcast that is dedicated to it. Also now they have gone to a larger set of hosts and a more laid back format, once again heading closer to HJ's format, so I find it more enjoyable.
So yeah, basically if you start copying Happy Jacks format, I might start listening to you!

I listened to Episode 10 of Smiling Jack's the other day, and liked it a lot. I obviously would have preferred a weekly podcast, but I'll take what I can get!
As far as AP podcasts, I enjoy listening to RPPR's Actual Play, particularly systems that I haven't tried yet. I've also really gotten into Flaming Sofa's "At Sixes and Sevens," which I can't remember if I found here or elsewhere. Definitely captures the essence of Changling very well!
