not sure you guys care about this. counciltucky = council bluff IA. which was said in the show. It's the city across the river from Omaha NE. The people in Omaha look down on Council Bluffs and see it as a backwards "hick" town and so tend to call it counciltucky. it even has an urban dictionary entry www.urbandictionary.comdefine.php?term=counciltucky just in case you care. by the way, great show, as always. |

We folks that live in Des Moines also look down on that backwater shithole that is Council Bluffs as well.
Nah, just kidding. We make sure that we give CB it's due by making sure to mention it is in Iowa and not Nebraska.

I'd make a disparaging sports related comment if my dang Cedar Rapids Rough Riders would get off their butts this year. As it stands the Omaha and Des Moines teams are both doing better than CR. Grr.
I'm pretty sure Nebraska and Iowa digging on each other is some serious pot and kettle action. Can't we just be nice to each other and be happy we're not Missouri?

I hadn't realized there were as many Iowan fans as there are! With the addition of the Quad Cities folk, I think we have enough to warrant some sort of get-together, hmm?

here's a funny story on season 06 episode 17 :
saturday morning, something wake me up at 7 am, very early for a weekend morning.
What was it ? the voices of Stu, Stork, CADave and Tappy streaming live !
I had forgotten to turn off the computer, and the streaming page was open.
So while you guys were recording the last 30 minutes of the podcast, I was there listening to you, not fully awake.
Then I went back to sleep 'til 10 am... when I had to prepare for my Mage the sorcerer crusade game on the afternoon !

Being asleep while listening to the show... i listened to the pod cast once, i repeat, once while falling asleep. I feel asleep about a 1/3 of the way though(my best guess) and listened to the rest while asleep. That was one messed up night of twisted dreams. I now make sure i am fully awake.

Personally, I think the term "tacklebutt" should be officially added to the lexicon of RPG-related terms. Hell, it's no more ridiculous-sounding than "munchkin".
Also...damn, there's a lot of people on here from Iowa. I was going to ask why y'all would want to live in a state like that, but I realized the answer after watching the news the other day: when your caucus is as big as Iowa's you don't have to take crap from no one.
