Soon I'll be running a Mage: The Awakening game set in World War 2, with the players struggling to fight in the supernatural theatre against the Axis powers. As a lover of history, I'd love to incorporate some history lessons (oh God, not learning!) into the game. More specifically, I want to have fascism be a major recurring theme throughout the campaign. So I've got a lot to learn about fascism; what it means, where it comes from, how it changes people, etc. Does anyone have any research suggestions in terms of books, literature, or even films? Thanks.

Dan Carlin has a great hardcore history run on WWI. It might be worth a listen. I know it's not the right war, but it might have some good things there for you (and is an excellent listen either way).

Ahh yes, I got in to Dan Carlin's Podcast because of the show. I bought his four episode Ostfront series, which got me curious about the subject of fascism in the first place. Loved the WW1 series as well.

Fascism already kind of is a theme, when you consider the Exarchs.
