Why problem make when no problem have you don't want to make.

I like the thought of a social Tremere, but I'm not sure playing two characters is a good idea. I have a hard enough time sticking to my motivations with the Gangrel. If I play a Tremere, the motivations will be completely different.
There is an old saying about Jack-of-all-trades. Skilled in many, master of none. My fear is that even though I could play different points of view, I'm not sure I could keep them separate for each character an thus would not play either pc well.
Course it could be argued I'm not playing it well now. But Gangrels are a selfish, isolationist lot. They barely play well with each other, let alone other clans.

Character bleed is a real struggle, especially when playing multiple characters in the same game. While I'd love to see what you do with a Tremere, I can understand not wanting to risk compromising your RP headspace. Personally I think you've been doing an excellent job of representing Gangrelness and low Humanity! Albert is always very easy for me to imagine when I listen to the podcast, by dint of your roleplaying.

I've run successful games with players having multiple characters but that was when we agreed there weren't enough players to cover what the party needed and I don't like GMPCs. There are six players. Definitely no need for two characters. It would slow the game down and throw more time to Stork which would be unfair to the other players.

That's one way of looking at it, but I've seen them played as members of a 'pack' to great and terrifying effect.

Stork, you play your Gangrel very well. Your character simply has a different agenda that the other characters (socio-political). Another idea is to put a dot in Presence and your player will be an instant "charismatic" character that can charm humans so help the other players agenda. The Brujah could do the same a make a "1984" revolution and destroy the cameras for example.
