And... where am I supposed to send that check, again? But seriously, you like PbtA, and that's awesome. I support that. Hell, I started this thread because I found a resources that PbtA players might like, even though I'm not a "PbtA guy". The idea that someone is a grognard stuck in his ways because they don't feel the same about your favorite system is... well, I don't agree with that.

I think the whole "you should try X, despite you saying you don't like X" is based around the idea of there being so many variations of X, that they might have the one variation that the person will end up liking.
Terrible comparison: I used to hate gin, because all I had ever had was gin & tonic. Many of my friends also all said they don't like gin drinks.
Another friend made a Tom Collins & Singapore Sling for me, and now the Tommy C is my favorite drink now.
I made Tom Collins for my other friends that professed to not like gin drinks, and most of them loved it too. Not everyone, a few still prefer a regular gin & tonic.
It all comes down to the "your mileage may vary", but as long as people are willing to give the new things a try, then all should be good.
If you try it and say "sorry, not for me." Then that should be the end of that specific thing.
Though some could bring up the whole "tastes change over time...", but that is a story for another time.
