I am about 100% analog. For example, when I run 5E: Rolling crate with: 4-5 books One Chessex case and one tackle box for minis and pens Chessex Battle Mat Folder that has the 5E Spell Templates

Mook is the end all and be all of game prep and carrying stuff for a game.
For my part, all books and information about the game are digital. I'd be dead (Well dumber than I am on a normal day) without my iPad and my laptop.
My convention kit for a game:
Lapotp iPad My Game Journal (It's really a small size wire bound sketch book with hard covers, largely because I like the paper) Dice (if I'm going to be rolling) A flat file with character sheets and handouts Dry Erase Name Tents Dry Erase Index Cards Dry Erase markers and eraser Pencils and Pens Oddments (Bennies or fate points, that sort of thing)
All of this fits into my Savage Worlds Rifts messenger bag.

Back in the days of AD&D, a collapsible milk crate on wheels was aces for me.
Nowadays, work just keeps giving out messenger bags, and if it doesn't fit in there, I don't need it. Plus it helps that I stop rarely used minis in RPGs before I stopped using them altogether in 2004.

vyrrk is there any chance to leave some of your stuff at your friend's place? Like maybe some minis? May not work if there's a rotating host situation...

If you always play at one location. Why not leave the miniatures there between sessions? You could also leave index cards and other things you use only during play. That should reduce your load considerably.

Ever since I started doing more games on demand type stuff, I've found I like carrying a bunch of games that are ready to go, which means that even though I try to play more prep-light and prop-light games, I still end up carrying A LOT around. I found a folder (similar to this one) at a thrift store, but you can easily find them online: What's cool about some of these is they have a shoulder strap type thing so you can easily carry them around, a la: It's my Games on Demand bag, and carries tons of ready-to-go printed character sheets for various games. The next awesome bit is getting binder accessories, like various pockets to carry tokens, dice, pens and pencils, one or two decks of cards, and so on. I use clear sheet protectors for the rules and such, so you can easily pop them out, use them, then pop them back in. And of course tab separators to organize. This thing is pretty packed, but in return I'm pretty much carrying 20 games at any given time (About a dozen microgames, a handful of games that require a bunch of playbooks, like Dungeon World, or The Warren, or whatever, and of course the various RPG tools and goodies like dice). The other thing to make it even lighter is of course having a small tablet (I inherited some older Samsung from the brother-in-law). Got the rules PDFs, and a few apps, including some dice apps and of course deck of card apps, in case those are taking too much weight. I've got a separate loose drawstring backpack thing that I use to carry any physical games, like Fall of Magic, or Lego Creationary (for use in various games) or games with dedicated card sets (Forget-Me-Not or Hearts Blazing). Miniatures? Nope. But I do have one of those miniature carrying cases from a Bones KickStarter, in case I do get back into that.

I don't remember what pointed me there, but I'm looking hard at investing in a set of modular DeWalt toolboxes for all my mobile GMing / convention stuff. I could consolidate a lot of stuff into these pretty easily, and they even have a modular foam insert for minis!

I love the mini-cart idea! Holy crap, there's one in the house which I repaired for my wife, but she stopped using it for some reason. It's a collapsible milk-crate on wheels with a telescoping handle. I am sooooo confiscating it tonight.
I'm still using books & paper. The venue we're typically at has no public Wi-Fi, so accessing PDFs online is out. The only portable device I own currently (with a screen of any consequence) is far too slow to handle multiple, large PDFs simultaneously. That may change if I can get a mint, used iPad from a friend who's upgrading.
I have not brought minis into my games yet. I'd need to find and paint a pile of suitable 'modern' figures.

P.S. I'm also stealing that Trapper-Keeper-on-steroids thingy.
P.P.S. The rolling cart was still at the back of the hall closet. Mine now. Will fit enough stuff for any game I can foresee.
