Hey all,
So I have moved into a smaller place and I don't have a big table to play any more. So now my players are hosting. This means 2 things...
1) Less clean up! Thank god! 2) I am carrying around a ton of GM stuff. I stick it all in my car and then make like 3-5 trips out to my car to bring it all in. Not to mention worrying about minis getting broken from transport.
Any of you have the same problem?

I've got to ask but what on earth do you bring with you? And what system? Most of the time I can fit all my GM great in my rucksack, for a few systems I might have an extra bag for character gen but then streamline to the main book for regular sessions.

I have to echo Whodo's questions.
Between PDF files and my tablet and phone, I have no problem.

I guess I play a little analog. haha
Minis, paper rule books (5e so all 3 of the books), printed maps and wet erase maps, Notebook, index cards, pencils, markers and dice. I know I bring to many minis and maps, but you never know where players will go so you have to be prepared.

A perfect answer would require some more info I think. How do you store your minis?
We use these little plastic trays with separators. Then cut up some foam to protect the more delicate minis. Then everything goes in a plastic tub.

Rolling suitcase my friend. When I ran L5R at my friend's place I took so many books with me because my players all chose bits from the different books I own. That was something like 8 books plus dice and maps and usually a drink and my dinner as well. So I started using my rolling suitcase. Fit everything nicely without crushing anything, not even my dinner. Very easy to travel with... by design!

At the table I'm almost entirely analog, big difference is I don't use minis and rarely play systems where a ton of splat books are needed at most sessions. There's one or two exceptions but for the most part I find not having all that helps the game flow.

Then everything goes in a plastic tub. I have a bunch of these: and some of these: (the ones that are the same dimensions as the mini case.) The pistol cases come with just a couple solid layers of foam, which I cut openings into for larger pieces (dragons, steam tanks, artillery, etc).

I'm on GM-ing hiatus at the moment, but the most recent game I ran was Pathfinder. I gave up a long time ago trying to keep up with buying the books, so I took to using my laptop to look things up on the PFSRD and d20pfsrd.
Players brought their own books and minis, usually in backpacks. One guy even had a wheeled collapsible dolly that he bungeed milk cartons to in order to ferry about his Pathfinder collection...
Case in point as to why I really prefer Savage Worlds. With that, I need only carry the small soft-cover core book and the similarly-sized setting book(s). Not even enough to weigh down my purse (well not any worse than it already is with all the other crap in there...)

For books, I keep everything digital. Desktop, laptop, iPad.

I use a Stanley Sortmaster Junior thing. It's basically a small parts tool organizer. It has four removable trays in a carry case. Then a shoulder bag for my books.

I'm about 50% analog, 50% digital. All of my campaign notes are online, and are accessed through my laptop. But I also bring two tackle boxes full of minis, a file box filled with handouts and hardcover books, and a backpack (laptop, combat tracker board, power strip/extension cord, dice, pencils, bennies). And a rolled-up Chessex battle mat. I bungee-strap it all onto an inexpensive collapsible hand cart for easy transport.
