Werewolf: The Wild West is very high on my list, but I'm also pondering a custom Buffy the Vampire Slayer game run with the FATE system. There's already a vampire game. But... Are players vampire hunters and do they hunt other things than vampires like in the shows, can they be mages? Is it after Buffy gave her power to "all" women or one person is "The" slayer? What is your "custom" idea?

Yep, that's the one. It's a very simple, flexible system. And I wouldn't want to give too much away to what I have in mind for a Buffy-verse game, but I would have a player as a Slayer and other characters could be humans or monsters. There's so much to play with in that world that isn't vampires, so it would not be anything like Mote.

Thanks for the link! No matter the system, I am heavy on the RP as a GM. I think it's because it's what I really like as a player.

It's even hard to find stream about Werewolf the wild west and it is a nice setting. The secret for a successful game is to build the concept for the pack first then the characters that will fit into that pack. So character creation must be done with all the players together deciding what the pack will be and what will they do together. Their polled background points (resources, totem, retainers, Fate, etc.)? Will they travel on their own four legs or have horses? Are they democratic, wolf leadership or other human type structure? The pack is more important in Werewolf and that makes it more fun. StrangeLikeThat you should make a poll for the type of game you want to run

StrangeLikeThat you should make a poll for the type of game you want to run Being honest, I am very confident as a GM in building out a narrative infrastructure and working with what the players want to do within it. I like offering my players the greatest array of flexibility possible. My job is to give them something to work against with the character concepts they find best suited to themselves, If you have a good group, they will be the ones to figure out how to come together as necessary. My job is weaving a larger story into the stories they will tell through their creations.
