I struggled for a long time to find ways to turn Starship Troopers into a playable world and ran headlong into a lack of content outside of what was depicted in the story. Stu Venable , apparently, has backflipped over that hurdle. I'd love to get a peek at his process in deconstructing an existing canon to play in a game. Choosing a game system and finding the interesting story would be great topics IMO. Is GM Briefing still a thing? Do...do we still do that? Anybody else have specific topic ideas in this vein?

In that same vein: It's like to hear about how to take existing canon and find places for me and my players to play in. I find my creativity is always stumped when I try to come up with plot when playing Star Wars and Star Trek. Maybe I'm too close to the subject? Maybe I Revere it too much to tinker around in it?
