Just reading through Urban Shadows after grabbing it from the Halloween sale on drive thru and I notice that the basic move "Escape a Situation" forces you to chose a complication even if you roll at 10+ and 2 if you roll a 7-9. Haven't gotten through the other moves yet, but does anyone else find that a little strange, even AW doesn't mess with you on a 10+ AFAIK(having just read AW and my memory sucks so let me know if I am wrong).
Anyone know if that was a deliberate decision on the part of the designers, and yeah I know one of those complications:
"You give in to your base nature and mark corruption"
is basically getting XP, but it just seems odd you have to make a bad(ish) choice on a full success.
Gillsing: Interesting fact about a movie that put me to sleep the first two times I tried to watch it at RPG cons. The third time I managed to stay awake, and was disappointed. Everyone seemed to like it so much. But apparently it was not for me. Story of my life.
