Has anyone made their own personalized character sheets?
What program or web page did you use?
Thanks!

I've used Scribus in the past, which is a free equivalent to InDesign for layout. Put together some basic character sheets like this one: wp.me/p2loUm-p4The program is pretty powerful and you can do a lot more than I've managed to date but it does have a steep learning curve. Hyvemynd might have some good suggestions, know she is very good at layout and design work.

Your summoning spell has worked, akavidar. But you rolled a 7-9, so you'll need to chose one: give me a String on you; give yourself to me; promise me something you think I want; or act all awkward. Heh. Thanks very much for the flattery @whodo, but I feel my graphic design skills have really gone to rust. I use Adobe In Design and Adobe Illustrator when I make character sheets. I think the old CS3 versions of Adobe programs might be available for free somewhere, but I don't have a link. Both have fairly steep learning curves. I've not tried other programs. Honestly, if you don't really need something fancy, you could probably make do with Microsoft Word. Clear and functional is better than fancy and unusable in my opinion. This might be something you could do a skill-swap with someone over. Have them lay out your character sheets in exchange for you doing something for them. Like statting up characters.

I tend to do this type of stuff while I'm at work (tend to get busy at home). My work PC has Word and Paint. ...my last character sheet isn't really all that great, but it works.

I have to laugh at myself.
The last time I made character sheets with a computer I used ASCII symbols in a BASIC program on a Commodore PET output to a 9-pin dot-matrix printer.
Yes, they looked like crap. But amazingly homemade awesome crap.

Well, I have Open Office and Scribus and YouTube, so I will play around with that and see what I come up with. I wasn't going to use any artwork to start with anyway.

Has anyone made their own personalized character sheets? What program or web page did you use? I use InDesign and Illustrator for the most part, Photoshop when needed. What are you trying to make? What game is it for?

What game is it for? I just want to make a more personalized character sheet for Moment of Truth, I'm not using any art for it. I think Open Office will do what I want, it's just a matter of dropping and dragging text boxes around.
