So I was roped into running another DnD 5e game for my group. One of my players took Alchemist Tools and wants to create stuff on his downtime. I've looked up all the official stuff on it and it honestly doesn't feel right. Overly complicated and no suggestions on what they CAN make.
So my questions are this... How do you handle crafting in general in 5e? Do you have any suggestions on stuff someone can make with a Alchemist Tool set?

so... basically all I ever did was say "you can make stuff that mimics spells or has minor effects (like the stuff prestidigitation does) for an amount of time equal to 1/10 the gold value of the spell components plus whatever mundane crap you need" but that was 4E where everything was blah + blah GP of components to cast.
I'm less certain about 5e.
