they also just recently released their Lord of the Rings sets too. So you can get your Fantasy fix in as well.
ugh, not to mention the recent Mobile Frame Zero kickstarter.
(I just 'organized' all of my son's legos. He may or may not realize how many are gone).

Heh heh heh ... A rule amongst my children (they came up with it not me), "Never ask for a present that dad will like more than his own presents."

Hmm. My kid is in proper lego age. I could add to my old... I mean her legos.

Holy shit those LotR LEGO sets look awesome. Maybe I can convince my girlfriend that I'm "collecting" these sets for our (eventual) future children...

I don't know...
Just make it clear that they're yours from the start. That way you can both get Legos! (she knows you like geeky things, right?)
My main problem was that about 2 years ago, I just grabbed the box o' Legos from my parents house and dumped it into the little guy's box o' Legos.
He doesn't mind sharing with me, but he doesn't like sharing with his sister, she told my wife/her mom "I need more Legos" just the other day. (after constructing an army of minifigs.)
I see this as a clear win for me.

I have the Swamp Creature vs Kurt Russel set. Got it this last weekend. The cool thing is that the part numbers are in the instructions so you can order more creatures, er more bad guys... :]

I've been planning a series of "Con" type games for non-Gamers to take part in. One of my ideas was to get the Lego knights set, but these might change my mind
