I don't know if I have shared this before. GURPS is deadly! Flail smashes brainpan.

Is there a way to soften GURPS?
Say if I wanted to play a 30s Pulp game where a can guy get punched by robots or thrown off a cliff and survive.

Somewhere in Book 2 (I think) are some sidebars about making the game more cinematic.

Wait until you play a modern campaign; three-round, semi auto pistol shots= one very dead villain in the first round At least it makes the players a bit more proactive. Too much in my case, they blew up all my nazis last game by rigging a sarcofagus with thermite grenades and lots of TNT.

If I remember right, Gurps Martial Arts (3rd edition) had a "cinematic" section for skills, advantages, campaigns, etc.
And 4th Ed. had the "Action 1" series that was all about pulpy cinematic styles, I think.
