Have you guys looked at the Roll20.net interface? It looks badass and I'd love to play a game in it or maybe even run one. Anyone else having that same thought?

I gave it a try for the first time earlier this week and as a group we all decided that we liked it and will keep using it. Only downside we had was the audio quality being not as good as we had on skype, but that may have just been done to a few dodgy net connections.
I think the best test of it would be if I was running a game with more combat that made use of the mapping options, but alas we're not at the moment.

I am in the middle of getting a Savage Worlds game set up for it. I love that I can do all the artwork and tokens before hand and set them up page by page so I don't have to do all that during the actual game. I'm converting one of Savage World's free modules for use. Turning the figure flats into tokens, the maps into a more usable version, and character art into portraits for conversations, etc etc. After I do this test module I will work on getting a campaign ready.
Just a little busier than usual around my place or I would have had it ready for this weekend.
There is a thread in the General area where a few of us are sharing thoughts and info on various virtual table tops, check it out.

I'd like to check it out when you've got it presentable.

Can you give cards from a single deck to the players to mark initiative, chase sequences etc? I am thinking of starting a game of SW myself soon, in roll20.

Yes. All of it. You can play poker on roll20 if you really want. Pretty much anything you want. Not sure from memory if you could do burn cards if you were playing Texas Holdem... But when it comes to dealing cards, you specify the number of cards, and who to deal to, and voila. The players can hold them in their 'hand' or put them on the table to be seen by others. You can also make your own decks. I'm thinking of getting the adventure deck pdf, copying and pasting the cards into .png files, uploading them to roll20.net and using them in a game.

The key to the deck mechanics is that clean up is a simple right click menu choice. After placing the cards around the table to show initiative and/or using them for chasing, or whatever else you can think of, you can reshuffle all the out standing cards back into the deck very easily.
I want to do a different card back with each campaign, much like what the Happy Jack's guys do at cons.

Traveller campaign online, got new player, having problems getting Gametable running on his computer. Jumpcusser pirates attack at Elixabeth, District 268, Spinward Marches. Roll20 sounds good but I haven't screwed around with it yet. Deer in the headlights with forty five minutes left in the game... I got the star yacht deckplan loaded in TableTopForge while the other players helped him out with Gametable to no avail. We turned the tables on the pirates. Cue the jingle music: "Like A Good Neighbor, TableTopForge Was There."

I played a couple of times at roll20, with savage worlds, and I plan to keep using it since my players are spead across europe at the moment. It is pretty good and easy to use, we don't use its sound service and instead talk though skype since it seemed a bit of a bother to get to work properly.

I only just found out about this today after "Stumbling" to their webpage. I think it looks absolutely amazing, and would love to give it a shot. Is there anyone who is running a game that has an open spot, or someone who wants to run a game for Happy Jacks listeners?

I think in a couple of weeks when the U.S. Daylight Savings kicks in that might go to 8pm EST. We are currently playing Savage Worlds Necessary Evil and have a Traveller game in the works for when not everyone can make it.
