Don't feel bad - apparently you're not the first to overlook 'em.

Do they chage? I have seen that area before, but the links that were mentioned in episodes I was listening to aren't there...also, are there show notes for the backlog any more or do they get deleted weekly?
thanks, -Shoe

I love that Jimto read my email about Cheesefuggers. His righteous indignation was priceless.

I have seen that area before, but the links that were mentioned in episodes I was listening to aren't there...also, are there show notes for the backlog any more or do they get deleted weekly? thanks, -Shoe Here's the thing: I'm shit when it comes to show notes. Seriously, I'm the worst. I can't begin to tell you how bad I am at show notes. It's not laziness, I swear. No one (except my wife) will tell you I'm lazy. That said, I prioritize my work flow in ways that seem lazy to most people, because I only have a few hours a week to devote to the podcast. Here's how the show usually goes. - I spend a couple hours during the week pre-reading and editing emails. - I distribute those emails to the hosts for that week's show on Google Docs. - We record the show on Friday night. - After recording, I "bounce" or "render" the show to a stereo wav file immediately after we record it (it happens in real time, so a 2 hour show take 2 hours to render). - When I get up the next morning (when I remember), I convert the wav to an mp3, add the id3 tags, upload it and add it to the RSS feed -- show published. After that, I get on with making breakfast, raising the kids, watching Dr Who, working on my GURPS G+ game, etc. If there are any shownotes, I literally add links to the delicious feed while we're recording. Those really cool shows that create show notes with markers showing where the topics change? That ain't happening. I cannot devote any more time than I do. The only thing I could do is cut and paste the google docs files to the episodes -- or make them public, which I could certainly do. Google Docs is remarkably searchable....

My skillz are about the same as yours, Stu. Here is what I would do to get around that.
I would start a post for episodeX here on the forum with links to the show notes. Maybe I would do that at the same time the notes are added to Delicious. That way, as the notes disapear down the scroll, there is a lasting memory of the notes people listening to the back log could check out at their leisure.
I am a very low tech guy to be honest so my answers tend towards simplier resolutions.

This would take one thing off of Stu's plate. Sent from my ADR6400L using ProBoards

Wow.. you do so much more than I do with my podcast...
That might explain why you have nearly 2000 listeners, and I have... um... 8?
On the other hand, I like quality over quantity. My 8 listeners are the best listeners.
On the other, other hand... I'm pretty sure 6-7 of my listeners are also your listeners.

Ahoy all! New to the forum and relatively new to listening to the podcasts. Its been a kick ass introduction for me though. The range of topics the crew discusses keeps it new and engaging. Up here in the Great Land our gaming groups are small and far apart...like my ex's bre...but I DIGRESS! Looking forward to listening to the old stuff as well as whats up and coming. Keep up the great episodes! By the way here's another goofy redub of a D&D cartoon. www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-WuGJ28adwReally taps into my 12 year old memories... Have a good one!

I have the last one as a magnet on my fridge right now. Completely different set of mores then that makes for alot of unintentional humor now, like the always classics Batman's greatest Boner storyline.

+1 Karma to darklordsparky for the compliment. I never get enough of those. Thank you. Interesting video, Dayson. Thanks for that. In the commentsI learned about RPGs the same way I learnt about sex: on some smelling, badly lit, garbage strewn street with a monster beaver. Parents, please, for pity's sake, do not let your kids learn the way I did. ;D I see a P.S.A. here. As for the " bad kids" gaming circle observation, the commentor has obviously not gamed at my table.
