I've skimmed the quick start Fiasco PDF, and as everyone else has already said, it looks like a whole lot of fun. One of my groups seems to have trouble with campaigns, and I'm starting to think that they would be better off with a more episodic game, or maybe just a bunch of one-shots. Fiasco sounds perfect for this.
Unfortunately, I'm having a bit of trouble picturing how it works from the Quick Start. Can someone who has actually played the game give us some short anecdotes about games they've played, and how they went?

The game is a LOT of fun, especially if you're playing with people who are usually GMs or theatre folk or extroverts in general. I think maybe one of the most important things to remember is that EVERYONE playing can act as a GM. So if your character isn't in a scene that's going on, you can still play NPCs and throw crazy stuff into it and whatnot. Another important thing to remember is that when it's your turn, you get to choose whether to establish or resolve the scene and the scene should in some way be about your character. Also, whoever's resolving can (and I think should) make the decision while the scene is playing out and indicate that choice to whoever's involved in the scene (which easily could be everyone at the table) so they can know which way to steer it. And of course, what I think is probably THE most important thing to remember is that in this game failure is FUN. That's why I usually play to lose. ;D Let's see, anecdotes. The Ice: This was the first playset I played and seems to be a very popular "first playset." It's set in McMurdo Station in Antarctica (which from what I understand is like a small city). I played a burned-out photographer who was there to get shots of penguins because that's what his career had come to. The tone was a little goofball because it was the first time for all of us playing, but we had a good time with it. At one point when it looked like we were about to hit a wall creatively, we were in a scene which, it was decided, would end badly for the character. I randomly decided he got knocked unconscious and dragged into a shed, then from that point on everyone started adding details that turned it into a ring of medical personnel who'd been in Antarctica for WAY too long, had snapped and were now making sex-themed snuff films. Which, strangely enough, ended up dovetailing nicely with one of the Needs a couple characters had selected (to find out what was going on in a locked room). Ultimately my PC ended up getting into a fist fight with a crazed, gun-toting medic and immediately afterward getting his kneecap shot off by a penguin who'd wandered by and gotten entangled with the medic's firearm. 1500s Florence: I was lucky enough to get a chance to play an as-yet-unpublished playset with Jason Morningstar at a convention. It was set in Florence, Italy during the reign of Cosimo de' Medici. I got to go first and ended up establishing a scene in which my noble character was in a duel to the death with a rival noble (played by the guy sitting to my left), and we decided then and there that it was the climax of what was to come and we spent much of the rest of the game building up to it and figuring out how it was going to happen. It was a blast. Highlights included Jason playing the suitor of my character's attractive female cousin, who was played to the hilt by the guy sitting to my right and helping move things along - even in character (e.g. when we were trying to figure out whether to resolve one of their love scenes positively or negatively, in the middle of his overtures of desire he said, "I feel almost as if the gods are trying to decide our fate."). I also got to play our family's crazy uncle who owned hundreds of cats that eventually broke loose and started running wild across the estate when we got to the aftermath (not long after two mountain lions had ALSO been released onto the estate, but that's another story...). All in all, it's an awesome game and I highly recommend it. I dunno if any of this has been helpful, but I hope it has! EDIT: Looks like the De' Medici playset was being released even as I spoke! www.bullypulpitgames.com/downloads/index.php?cat=7#78

Yeah, that was definitely helpful, and interesting to boot! That plus the other anecdotal threads make me want even more to pick this up and give it a go.

I saw that, but I had posted this topic before you put your video up. I haven't had a chance to watch it just yet, but I plan to in the near future. Thanks!
