I"m not saying this to be shallow, but I just lost one of the reasons for listening. I'm not blaming Kimmy that she wont do the podcast, the rules in that area are making it impossible. But if she can get out of it, I don't think it's gonnna ever happen. The others will find a way out.

I've said this many different times, but I don't really get the whole "topless" episode thing. It's recorded audio. It's no different from any other podcast. The hosts could all be naked, and we'd never know.
The Happy Jacks Nudist Podcast...oh the horror!

I think the issue here has more to do with fidelity and less with GM Fiat.

I did show my man boobs twice during the episode.
That's worth at least one firing.

It's because of the first season and reckless promises made in the hubris of the moment. I knew Kimi would pull out if she could because she and Clair in a later episode managed to convince a very drunk Tappy that there were certain caveats that weren't actually mentioned at the time of the original pledge. When you're hogging thru the crunchy backlog over a short period of time these little things stand out because what was months ago in podcast time is only days ago in meaty nutty (catching a little in throat on the way down) backlog time. Personally, as it's a podcast and audio WTF . . . Who cares (except maybe Tappy ) . . . I think a live Skype in or some other celebration would be much better. Unless the crew manage to magic up enough bandwidth to do video . . . But then would the cast be less interesting as we concentrate on the images instead of the content. A bit like radio still being superior for discussions because you can concentrate on what us being said without visual distractions.

Not to be a douche, but if, after almost seven seasons of her being a host, the major benefit people still see Kimi bringing to the podcast is simply the lure of breasts in a topless episode... yeah. That's kind of... disrespectful might be too strong of a word. But it's definitely dismissive.
I'll admit that I loved hearing the banter and jokes between the HJs hosts about the logistics of the topless episode, especially Tappy's continual references to his "Blofeldian plans" (which we never actually got to hear). But I never listened to the podcast because I might get the chance to "hear" some boobs.

Umm...I always found the topless episode jokes funny wayyyyyy back in like season 3. Funny. Jokes. A good ribbing was had. But if you really want to toplessness you are on the internet. It's actually more difficult to find websites without boobies. Sometime the boobies even get sent to you in your email, but don't click those boobies those are evil boobies. Sucker Punch - sorry but I think it was fucking awesome!!! Highly underrated due I believe to the fact that there were three layers of story occurring at the same time and all interwoven. It sits up there with the likes of Momento as unconventional but interesting . . . Clever but maybe a little too clever to be popular. Maybe a re-edit might make it more accessible . . . It was Visually stunning and the soundtrack was fantastic, the highlight though is (as the HJ hosts identify) the Nazi steam zombies. The Rainbow and Serpent was less about zombies and more about the illegal acquisition (because of the politics and corruption) of a chemical compound that would revolutionise modern anaesthesia. You see an excerpt of a medical seminar right at the end where they discuss it . . .

Wheel of Time: The first book is not good. The 5 Primary characters are very passive, dragged along through the story. After that they start to make decisions and do things. The 5 get split apart, which is a good thing in that it prevents the series from becoming a narrative of somebody's RPG session, and a few more primary characters are added. Books 2-7 are decent, more stuff happens suspense builds. Then the story slows to a crawl. Stuff happens but nothing changes much. There is a lot of descriptive narrative (presumably to jack up page count, despite the lack of story. After Jordan's passing and Sanderson's uptake of the story, the story is moving, the pages of description are reduced and an end is in sight. I have enjoyed the series, but can see why people cannot get into it. Push on through, it gets better.

One more book then it's finally be over (why continue to read them? Because having got this fucking far I want to know how it bloody well ends)

The topless jokes were the best part of the dangling lure of a topless episode. An actual topless episode would be pointless. Why would people be angry if Kimi chose not to be topless in an episode? That's just... fucking ridiculous.

Re: 2000 listeners thing
I never thought it was an actual thing. I figured Kimmi and/or Claire said something sarcastic and it was just a joke.
If Tappy was drunk and said, "If we get 2000 listeners I'll suck Stu's cock!" and it didn't happen... Nobody (except possibly Tappy) would find that disappointing.
I'm just saying.
I agree you should do shifts so people can nap, because I don't want to hear what it sounds like when any of you have a psychotic break.
How much is it to sponsor a TPK?
On the subject of Diaspora.
That's all the FATE I've played and it's basically Traveler inspired FATE (they say as much in the forward to the book).
Creating systems was way fun. I can also vouch for the awesomeness of the social combat. We never did get to do ship to ship combat.
If you cosplay as Aquaman with the hook, you realize you'll also have to rock a flowing blond mullet Tyler.

I created the "God Hates FLGS" shirt, but it was Rickno7's idea. I had a GM who kept doing the damn "Oops he got away." thing, and yes it was incredibly annoying. What's worse is how he always got away. "Oh you didn't notice but behind that boulder over there is a deep dark black hole and he jumps into that." "Ok I jump in after him." The GM responds with "You jump into a completely magically dark area that is about 5 feet by 5 feet, its completely empty." Supposedly behind the magical darkness that we had absolutely no possible well of ever seeing through as we were only 4th level and it was darkness cast by a 16th level wizard, and the bad guy just happened to have an amulet that let him see through the darkness to where the magic sigil was that he could touch and it would teleport him away. Then came the time that he jumped into the river at the bottom of a 300 foot chasm(thanks ring of feather falling!) where he was suddenly able to breathe underwater thanks to another nifty item he had. The bad guy not only always got away, but always because of some trick of terrain/magic item use that specifically tailored to the situation. Luckily, and quite dickishly I admit, I caught a loophole in the above scenario which forced the GM to not have his bad guy get away. Which mean we annihilated the asshole, in the face, with a rocket. Ok not really. We did kill his ass dead though. And with a vengeance.
