Interesting. Fear not, TC, no matter how much you despise -her-, she hates you a lot more.

As long as you aren't crunching and slurping in the mic its not a huge deal. I didn't find it distracting, unlike Marc Maron's incessant need to slurp the fuck out of his coffee every 5 seconds on his podcast. WTF is no longer a podcast in my feed for that reason.

My...my...such an industrious GM. Well done sir! Now I have something to listen to while I pack our Bear protection (i.e. suits of armor). Thanks. "Sweaty Candy is my boyfriends name..." (Oh JFever you complete me...) So much goodness in this episode! Shiyabu the vase chucker, Hida Yama the Scholar, Kojiro discovers karma is indeed a bitch (sorry Jesse ...) And Hida Jimunsha opens up something besides a tea house while getting to wear the Topaz Champion armor. I am beginning to wonder if my short attention span favors games that have this bit of frenetic pacing to them (almost a con game's pace). Anyway I'm only an hour in and I have to say that it is one of my favorites. There was definitely an aspect of "I'll make this easy and x happens" from you Mike that really kept the game rolling. So, guess my ideal game is somewhere between a slow burn sort of investigation game and a 'railroady' con-game. At least for online games that only meet twice a month. Perhaps for a weekly 'flesh space' (I have to stop using aussie inspired terms maxinstuff!) a more meandering heavily sandbox style game would work. But, for this game I appreciate a bit of hand holding...Rokugan is a big, scary place.

I agree with D.T. Pints, that meeting twice monthly lends itself to a bit more handholding than one might expect. Normally I would be totally against it, but since we only get to experience this game every other week we want to make the most out of every game session.
I have enjoyed these last two games a lot, and can't wait until after mid September to take on the Shadowlands. . .

I have to say that death bothered me more than I thought it would. Sad to see Okimoto-san pass on to the next life. I plan to take this break and put it to good use doing some real planning for the next story arc. Create some interesting NPCs and some evocative stories.

I think it bothers me in a good way, it means I was invested in the character. Most of all I'm gutted that we didn't manage to get around to the wedding because I think that would have been hilarious to play out, especially as things may have ended up dicey between Jimunsha and Okimoto, Jimunsha had lost the love he had been prevented from marrying while Okimoto was basically breaking with expectations and marrying for love. So yeah, would have been interesting.
I think I've already got a concept for my new character, will post it up here or on our forum to get peoples input, I want to make sure he'll fit with the rest of the group.
