It would take someone special to mangle my name since it is so common, but my younger daughter had a substitute teacher that insisted on pronouncing her name Elspeth as Asbestos. Even after being corrected multiple times. And being informed she could just call her by the nickname Elsa. It was so frequent and so obviously intentional that my daughter felt the need to talk to the school administration about it.

My last name gets butchered nearly 100% of the time.... Despite the fact that it's a pretty easy name to pronounce....

No one outside of my family has pronounced my name right the first time. But I don't care.
I actually love the cultural variations when pronouncing Stuart. Especially the Scots.

Depends which part you're from. Stoort, Stwart, Oor Stoo, are all possibilities. For myself, my last name is frequently spelt with an extra 'g', thanks to a certain physicist.

So, my name is Steven, witha 'V' sound. Not Ste-fan. Not Ste-von. Stee-ven. Steven. Hearing the crew debate how to say someone's name in 18-11... It sounded like they had a different spelling than "Steven." And that is one of the names I have the most problems with (not your spelling, though), partially because I know 2 Stephans. One is [Stee-ven] and the other is [Ste-fan]. So when I see someone I don't know and their name is "Stephan," I wonder how they pronounce it. But neither Brian nor Weasel get mispronounced often, although when people hear my last name they often ask if I'm related to Charles Manson. My last name isn't Manson, and only the "Mans" part is the same. :/

More likely, "Oi! Fatteh! Geh ou' o' the way!"
Which is coincidentally how they'd pronounce my name, too.

I mostly deal with people swapping the Y for an I in Bryan, and adding extra Ls and/or Ds in Loyd (damn you, Gyan!). As a Welshman, I have you point out that's it's YOU spelling Lloyd wrong
