Anyone else excited? I'm not getting it right away, funds and trouble getting it. But so hyped for it and the new Zelda game. Also the new Bomberman looks great and Splatoon 2. Never played the first Splatoon but was really intrigued.

Call me a heathen, but I have to be impressed with a non handheld console from Nintendo after game cube. Third party supporter gives this ab advantage over say...the wii, but so do the competing consoles. I'll be staying with my PlayStation. I'm glad other people are excited, because it does sound pretty cool, but if I bought it I know I'd regret it.

The dev kit for the Switch is ridiculously cheap and the word is it's a very easy to program for. Hopefully that means that it'll build up a great games library fast and the initial hype machine will become self sustaining.
I'll probably pick up a Switch. I'm a HUGE handheld gamer and honestly the Switch is just a new handheld that can be hooked up to a TV, which is exactly what I want. So many times playing 3DS do I think, 'Man this would be so much easier to just play on the TV"
I'll buy it when there's a price drop, probably Black Friday two years from now. Or if they release a new Monster Hunter for it. I'll buy a Switch for Monster Hunter XX or 5 in a heartbeat.

So an update I've manage to sell some things and lucked out on a preorder!!!!
Good to see that people are at least interested. I've been a closet Nintendo fan since the days of the 64, god I loved that thing. Still have it in fact. My last console was a Xbox 360 some ten years or so ago. I've had playstion as well. But Nintendo has always been my fave.
This will probably replace my 3ds on some level. Been looking for something like this for some time. Just so cool that you can play on the go and on tv.

My son is hyped for it, so he's saved money and pre-ordered. We'll have one on launch day, and Zelda on the heels of that. I can't remember if Zelda is launch or "launch window." He has previously been dominating the living room TV with my PS4, so I moved my 360 to a smaller TV in my bedroom, apparently just in time for him to have a device with its own screen.

I had a Wii U and only just traded it in as I wasn't using it much, am tempted by the Switch but will wait and see how it does I think.

We can't afford one right now. But even when the funds are available we'lll be torn between a Switch and a PS4. I suspect Zelda might swing my boy in the Switch direction though.

So I got my switch today! Gorgeous machine! My problem is that Zelda didn't show up today..... So I bought Shovel Knight digitally. Not a bad game but not Zelda lol.

Depending on your son's age, Nintendo may have the larger collection of young-age appropriate games, or the PS4 will have the larger overall selection (including T- and M-rated). Nintendo does not fare well with third-party developed games, but their own stuff is so good that it doesn't matter to many fans.

I've picked up I am Setsuna and it's very visually appealing. Shovel Knight was so so for me.
