It's not actually Valdemar, but look at Green Ronin's Blue Rose game. Thank you for this, Ill look into it further. It really does seem to fit the bill. I have some ideas for a group of young bards...... Future AP?

I saw the Blue Rose AGE book on the shelf at my FLGS yesterday. I know nothing about the setting but just looking through the book desperately made me want to run it! It's amazing looking! (And you can play as a non-anthropomorphic sapient talking animal... I'm a weirdo who likes that kind of thing...

I haven't looked at the AGE edition, I had the older True20 one. I suspect that the setting didn't really change too much, though.

Jonathan and Mr. Norrel would be awesome! I have only read the book and hope to watch the series at some point. I haven't read the book so I can't speak as to any departures from it in the show adaptation, but I really liked it. Then again as I also mentioned in that other thread that's part of an era and genre that appeal to me. There is something about that time period that makes Magic interesting. Kind of the closet cabals and secret societies.

The Land, from the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. I think that would be a cool place to adventure in, when Covenant isn't running around making a mess of things. My DM in high school ran a game derived from The Land in AD&D, it was a great campaign, he managed to wrap it up before he went away to college. My character ended up as High Lord.

I'd like to see more Bio-Punk. Rippers kinda falls into that category of organ replacement and enhancement, but I'd love a future setting where instead of cyberware we've mastered gene crafting to do the things that cyberware does in other games.

You could twist some elements of Orphan Black to get something similar to that.

That reminds me of that scene from Heavy Metal when Harry the Cabby tried to get police assistance but the desk cop (voiced by John Candy, IIRC) refuses to help without getting paid up front.

What about a sci-fi/superhero RPG set in the world of Overwatch?
Oddly enough, I don't play the game and have no plans to start, but I like the look and the aesthetics of the universe. Seems like it would be a fun RPG to game in.

I will definitely second.. third/fourth? the wish for a "Jonathan Strange & Mister Norrell" game. I've read the novel and seen the TV series, and loved both, though I will say the book is much better and weirder, if you like the TV you will probably like the book even more. It is my favorite book by a good margin and one of the few novels that I've read more than once, 3 times within the first two years of buying it.
I'd say you could probably do a good game of it using Mage (Ascension or Awakening). Either way just fiddle the existing setting a bit to include the Raven King and you'd probably be set.
Another setting that would be nice would be The Iron Druid Chronicles. You could probably run it with the Dresden Files RPG given that the series is so similar to Dresden, but it would also be nice for it to have its own game since it does have some important differences.

Seems like it would be a fun RPG to game in. I do play it, and specifically got into it because of the aesthetics. And have thought the same, though I don't know what system you'd do it in. Probably have to be something that has supers and guns... Me, I'd like to see Appleseed/Ghost in the Shell as an RPG setting.

Well I'm a Savage Worlds nut, so that's my go-to game. One could use the Sci-Fi and Superheroes Companions for SW.
