I saw that movie as a teenager, and it was awesome!
Then I saw it many years later and oh how cringe worthy it was! It sucked so bad!
I wonder if I'd dare watch it again...

Only on Twitch, they're having trouble with Youtube lately, so every episode needs to be manually uploaded to Youtube later on.

Something seemed a bit funny when Stu mentioned Trent Reznor bashing Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt," as I had remembered the story differently. According to Wikipedia, Trent Reznor loved the cover, even saying, "That song isn't mine anymore." Unfortunately, the link to the primary source Wikipedia cites is broken, and I don't want to bother that much in finding it. Nonetheless, Cash's cover is absolutely brilliant. (Honestly, the original is pretty good, too.)

Dragon Warriors! YEAH! Girth matters? Thank the Gods. Dragon Warriors seems to have a small, but faithful following. For its time the mechanics were simple and elegant. Subtract the defence from the attack and roll under it. Most mechanical elements are consistent with this. In the mid eighties mechanical consistency was a rarity. I really like the unique mechanic used for the mystics and their magic. Start with a base number. Add the mystic's level and then subtract the spell level. If you roll under the result you can cast another spell. If you fail you're out of magic for the rest of the day. It makes an interesting alternative to vancian magic. The world of legend is interesting too. Dark fantasy hadn't really been explored much before DW came out. Trust the British to take us there. It may be interesting for some (Stu)to know that Dave Morris actually created legend for his GURPS group.
