eg: They didn't 'sell out' or 'get worse' their popularity, specifically the commercial overkill that resulted from it, resulted in me being unwilling to listen to anything of theirs for over a decade. It's selfish but I do feel that heavy handed promotion and commercialisation ruined what had been a personal listening pleasure . . . This is what happened to me with Nine Inch Nails. Before I started listening to lesser known musical genres, I really hated them because the radio completely ruined their music with constant overplay of the same two or three songs. 15 years later when I gave them a fair listen, I came to enjoy a bunch of their songs.

Adding something about Inspiration would also be nice since it's a very new mechanic for D&D.

Could someone please explain the 'I don't watch movies because other people like it' thing? It's because people hype things up to ridiculous levels and when it isn't your thing, you feel massively disappointed. Like Breaking Bad. I was forced to suffer through the terrible first several seasons of that show before it got decent. The internet made it sound like TV-god. That's why I won't watch Dr. Who, I'm afraid I'll be massively disappointed yet again.

We had a really detailed discussion on piracy awhile back over here on "Handling Piracy at my table" (we went on and on for 7 pages). Might be worth a read to see a wide variety of opinions about this topic.

I have a jungle setting like this. It was such a failure the first two sessions that the group said, "We don't want to play this anymore."
Now any time I bring up anything remotely jungle related I get the stink eye. I think if I ever want to run that setting again it will have to be with an entirely new group. Maybe when I get the Southlands books with the 5E monster conversion I might run a group through it with that system.
I just wanted a pulpy, dinosaur-laden, jungle romp. Is that so much to ask?! DX

I DREAD having to stat out things for combat. I'm good with world building and plot ideas, but the numbers always fuck my shit. I feel like a whiny child about it, but seriously I DON'T WANT TO DO IT!!
Example: Right now I'm having to stat up a werewolf and "plan" an interesting combat. This is especially highlighted because we have combat maybe every third session. I can run the fight when it's going and am okay at running the rules, I just don't ever want to actually build stats and tactics for the fight so I know how many hits it takes to end the encounter. I don't really have a solution except to drag my feet and do a shitty job at it last minute.
In a perfect world, there would be a monster generator that would spit them out at me when I click the type of monster I want. If anyone knows of such a thing for AD&D I would greatly appreciate knowing about it.
Houndin's Health Levels technique sounds like an interesting idea, but the math lady in my group always guesses at ACs and HP totals. So how do the details of health levels play out?
Maybe we should have an episode specifically talking about building combats.

I re-entered the inventory a couple days after the convention. They are for sale, I just forget to change the message. I'll do that now. Thanks for letting me know. Sweet, will get mine this weekend.

When will t-shirts be up for purchase again? The website still has the note about them being at Strategicon.

I thought it would be fun to post a thread with random bits of inspiration for the games.

A highschool friend sent this to me thusly, "In high school we thought we were the Lost Boys, but I guarantee we looked more like these fucks." We even had the dandy, the pervert, and the badboy. It's too bad we don't all live in the same country anymore or we'd all go together. I can't wait for this to get it's US release in theaters. I'm hoping it at least makes it to Miami. If not, then I'll have to hold off for DVD.
