Now that January is almost over...(I realize it is not even half way, but I'm an optimist!) I thought it a good time to roll out the current plan for Jackercon 3. At the suggestion of some wanker in the U.K. I'm going to suggest we make it a weeklong affair. No SLOTS! Just a set period of time to put up games and for people to sign up for them. We can have a Google calendar as a master list that will convert to your time zones and since games will be played over G+ I've got a community page there where the events can be listed. GMs will be responsible for adding players and players will be responsible for contacting GMs to get signed up. After all my title is now INSTIGATOR...not organizer  . I would imagine most games will still fall on the weekend but at least this way we can hopefully prevent the insanity of trying to run/play in games for 16+ hours a day on the weekend. I also realize I might have been the only one who thought this was a good idea... So here we go: JACKERCON III TPK GOODNESS

I'll be running a World of Dungeons Planarch Codex game. Also I'm going to start a poll soonish to figure out if I can run some indie game people are interested in, but wouldn't get to play otherwise. Also I'm calling dibs on a player spot in "Et tu, Brutus?" even if the former Latin student in me can't help but point out the quote is "et tu, brute?"  |

Perhaps but this a post apocalyptic world we are talking about and correct usage of a dead language may have lapsed a bit... . Also, I believe Jackercon will fall during the most holy of days...DRIZZTMAS! So get out your scimitars and hang them by the fire because when the magic panther comes down the chimney you'll be ready to dual wield it back to the Underdark from whence it came! BTW, I wonder if it works skipping the slots. I think it created some order to the chaos, and you could schedule around some fixed points. Well, we'll see how it turns out. I'll try to run something this time.

I'll see what I can put together, might run Project Cassandra if I get the rules rewrite done and tested by then. Alternatively I've also got a few hippie games that I've been itching to play.
I'll also look at spreading the word a bit, see if we can get a few more players in Euro friendly time zones.

Quick question, will the group be open to the public or will it remain closed to just us? Ah Yes my British/African friend therein lies the QUESTION! I am a pretty firm believer that this is a con for THE DOUCHEBAGS...and as such THE PUBLIC probably needs to be eased into this little world...like listening to a few of the episodes with Drinky Bruce before hopping into a game. And I hope you realize that just because there might be SEVEN DAYS of gaming you don't need to be there for all of them...neither do I (note to self). |
