I've never played Vampire but have always wanted to I've played Werewolf once though. I'm very minorly familiar with the basics of White Wolf games so I won't be rules lawyering THIS time. I'm about a third of the way through and I'm very much enjoying it. For once, Stork didn't create a character that annoys me!;P I have to admit though I did have a creepy fatbeard moment during my listen. When Kimi mentioned that her character only feeds on pretty people or rich people I thought "Damn, guess she won't be sucking on my neck." Then thought "Well, that wasn't creepy or anything." then thought "And we're both married anyway." and then thought "Ok, stop thinking about it... creeper."

On the three roll seduction thing, that is exactly what the book suggests. It's basicly determining the turn off points in a bar pickup kind of situation.
1.) Are you physically attractive? This person doesn't know you, so this is to see if they are interested enough to hear you out. 2.) Witty banter time. Does your pickup line work? Are you a dullard? This is the second point of failure. 3.) So maybe you and me go out back and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas? Getting them to agree to the deed.
Is this how it should always go? I hope not. Some people are looking for a good time and will kindly ask you to shut your stupid mouth while they get the sexual encounter they came to the bar looking for. Sometimes persistence pays off and you can bypass or ignore a bad physical attraction stage by winning them over with your charm or plying them with drinks until the bar looks good enough to fuck.

Whew, just finished listening. It was hard to keep up with stork what with all the jumping, you know, to conclusions.

Well ya know, when you have been a vampire for almost 100 years, you've seen it all before. You see connections where a younger person might not. It's one of the interesting things about playing someone with a lot of experience. They see the wheels within wheels.

What, no one saw Office Space? I thought the Jump to Conclusions Mat reference was a winner.

Wow, Probie Tim, how'd you land a gig at Sin Silly? ;-) (Seriously though, I am loving this game so far. I really love the back and forth between Probie Tim and stork.)

It was a very entertaining AP, especially the two ±5' vampires. Tim, is playing a vampire with a lisp who is a stand-up comic at "Sin Silly" self-punishment for being the Gibbering Gamer?

There is NO punishment for being the Gibbering Gamer... that is a privilege.

Huh. I've never heard that you needed to spend willpower to start ghouling someone. I guess they added it in V20. Anyone know what page that's on?

Anyone know what page that's on? Interesting. I thought for sure it was in there, and was all set to provide you with chapter and verse. But... I can't find it. I can't find it in the revised 3rd edition rulebook, either. So I don't know where that came from, which concerns me. Heh. ... Found it! It's a Requiem thing, I knew I'd read it somewhere. I'm glad I'm not completely insane. From page 166 of Vampire: the Requiem (1st edition): Edit: And it's in VtR second edition, too. On page 101: For what it's worth, I like that rule (which is why I think it stuck in my mind) and I run my VtM games (including LA by Fire for those playing it) that way.
