Might want to find somewhere in the LA By Fire rules section for it. I was admittedly confused and assumed it was a V20 thing as well.

Playing catch up with the APs so only just getting round to listening but I have to ask Probie Tim why did you latch onto investigating the bar owner? As a listener it just doesn't make any sense to me that you'd be suspicious somebody who has been on the island for decades might be involved in a very recent set of murders. The only 'link' to the murders is that they'd been mentioned on the same page of the newspaper. Was it a case of you (as a player) perceiving it as important because Stu had mentioned her by name? Granted from what I've heard Stu seems to be doing well 'yes anding' the NPC so they're interesting but narratively I just can't see why your character would be suspicious of this random person.

Personally I think it's a case of Bear Hunting. They got handed a Cluespaper, she was mentioned in it, therefore she must be important.

I have to ask Probie Tim why did you latch onto investigating the bar owner? Basically, I was looking at the newspaper for a lead. We knew that there was a vampire on the loose, one who was not in Lord Anthony's retinue. And here was this article about a lady who had been running a bar - actively, daily - for 50 years. Given that she'd had to have been at least 21 when she started working at/owning the bar, that put her at 71 years old - if not older. I just couldn't see someone of that age hustling around a bar daily without busting a hip or something; when you add in a vampire on the loose, it just seemed a little suspicious... maybe this "innocent old lady" was a vampire mastermind or something. It made sense at the time. In my head. *shrug*
