Yeah. Princes aren't the be-all and end-all that Daimyo are.
The LA setup wouldn't work on the Mote with the low population of Kindred, though. In that situation, it's very like the Inukai game - except instead of a handful of samurai, it's a handful of Cainites.

I think I must have had a horrible accident, and someone gave me some of stu's blood in a transfusion. Because after this episode—even though I love dice pools, and especially d10 dice pools—I started to think that this would be a heck of a lot easier to run in GURPS. (I'm taking ••• in GURPS.) Nevertheless, I'm investing some time into familiarizing myself with the VtM20 rules.

They -did- make a GURPS Vampire the Masquerade sourcebook.

They -did- make a GURPS Vampire the Masquerade sourcebook. I may or may not have ordered it. (Sadly there's no digital version on the e23 site...)

There isn't. But one exists.

They -did- make a GURPS Vampire the Masquerade sourcebook. To be fair, they made a GURPS Everything sourcebook. ^.^

Finally finished listening, and on the post game discussion of Austerman being the game's bear...oh the irony if she turned out to be a Gurahl.

Hmm, I had thought it was spelled Ostermann. This was also the first time I think I ever deduced something when stu dropped his 'big hint.' Sounds like the players didn't get it at the time, but that could just be my perception of it.

I confess I don't know how it's spelled.

Neither do I. I just thought it was an interesting way to spell it. The only correct spelling I know of is what's in stu's OneNote files. Speaking of, I have started using some OneNote for prepping my upcoming con games. Now that I have a tablet, perhaps it will finally prove useful.

I used it a lot in my Dresden game. I haven't looked into the App version, anyone used it? I was using Evernote as my app of choice.

OneNote is rad. I use it on my desktop, my laptop, my Kindle, and my iPhone. It's a little awkward on the iPhone, and the Kindle version is a bit behind, but they're all very usable.

I started to think that this would be a heck of a lot easier to run in GURPS. The GURPS versions were HORRIBLE. I had GURPS Vampire and the GURPS Vampire Companion. I did not like them at all. The thing about the VtM system is that it's amazingly simple. Everything is rated in dots, with each dot equating to a die in a die pool. You put an ability together with an attribute and roll that many dice. Each die showing a 6 (usually) or greater is a success. That's the basic system. The hardest part is figuring out which abilities and which attributes you should use. The book has a bunch of pre-defined feats (like Sneaking is Dexterity + Stealth), but usually I let my players go with whatever they can justify (so, like, using Stamina instead of Dexterity for Sneaking because the character is moving REALLY slowly, and it requires Stamina to hold those positions for so long with so little movement, for instance... I'd probably let that fly.) Oh, and yeknom, I saw your G+ posts. I'll reply soon.

I use it on my iPad. Well, I did, then my son broke it, so I need to replace it. But, I like it so much, that I borrow my wife's iPad for game day, and when I'm at work (since I can't do anything on my iPad) I may have been known to use works PC to log in and do work there, since they all sync so well.
I have used it on my phone, but as tim mentioned, it's not as easy, other than simple entries or accessing it for info.
