Stu Venable, am I recalling incorrectly that in the past you mentioned running the Garou on the island using the Werewolf: The Apocalypse rules? If so, did you switch to the Vampire: The Masquerade version to avoid a TPK last night?

Going totally meta here, is "celerity" a thing in W:tA? Or is it called something different? I know in the V20 rulebook they simulate garou stuff using kindred disciplines, and celerity is one of those.
I just don't know W:tA at all.

For my own sanity, I switched back to the werewolves in V:tM, with some modifications.

'K. That's where some of the disconnect in the chat room was happening. Under their own game line, the werewolves probably could have spent Rage to overcome the Toreador enthrallment... though I am just getting caught up now, because I was made to go watch Walking Dead in the middle of the session.
All things considered, unless you have a Garou PC, probably better to go with Lupines out of the VtM book anyhow.

The various game lines all look pretty compatible at first glance, but when you deep-dive into them there are numerous issues to deal with. The V:tM "equivalents" work perfectly in a V:tM game. ... Although playing a Risen Wraith (out of the W:tO sourcebook The Risen) in a V:tM game is awesome.

Well, not only that, but why really work on keeping track of what Rage and Gnosis really do, plus all the wacky Gifts a werewolf might be packing, when werewolves aren't what your game is really about?
I still wish one of you guys had poured some Vitae down one of those furry bastards' throat. Turning a Garou into an Abomination is about the worst thing you can do to him/her(/it?).

The target of a Presence power can spend a willpower point and make a diff 8 willpower roll to resist it for a scene. It also mentions having to keep spending a willpower point whilst in the vampire's vicinity but what the time frame for that is up to the ST i.e. per scene or per turn etc. This is at the start of the Presence discipline descriptions before the details of each level

Noted! I intended to look up Presence tonight, as it seemed terribly powerful.

The Dominate generation restriction always bugged me to no end, particularly with the wide range your "peers" could be (gen 8-13) in a starting game. It seemed tailor made towards enforcing the "you will be playing Anarchs" that the game seemed to be angling for at first, and didn't evolve when the game developed to support a wider variety of playstyles.

I know in the V20 rulebook they simulate garou stuff using kindred disciplines, and celerity is one of those. I just don't know W:tA at all. Werewolves don't have Celerity, but they have a built in mechanic like Vampires being able to pump up their stats using blood. They spend a point of Rage to gain an additional action. I ran a cross over including Werewolves, Vampires, and Demons. It's workable but at times certain things clash and you have to make calls as to how things work out. They're fun but take a lot of work to get started. Granted I hand wave the initial experience sink since most of the powers you have to buy have no real effect in the material world once you get your body. That's what makes Requiems Blood Potency mechanic a bit superior. Elders have higher blood potence which provides more defense against powers like Dominate, but doesn't make the power completely useless against them. Something I've been noticing: Does Adrianne have a Herd rating of 3 or 1, because it keeps sounding like she's saying herd of 3. If her rating is 3, then she'd have fifteen people in her herd, not three. Assamites are Independent. There are Antitribu in the Sabbat but the only Majority clans in the Sabbat are Lasombra and Tzimisce. Also the Followers of Set in the Sabbat are called Serpents of Light, I believe. The Independent Clans are Assamite, Ravnos, Giovanni, and Followers of Set.
