I expect this Steampunk themed game to play via G+ and commence on the afternoon of Saturday 1st February PST (or the morning of Sunday the 2nd AEST if you are on my side of the time warp). I am looking for players.
Gordon Pembridge Consulting Services is a company that takes care of things. All kinds of things. Everything from private detective work to security services to government contracts and everything in between.
For this reason the company requires people with certain skills. Your skills. You might be an ex-military type, or a magickal scholar, or a talented inventor. Maybe you are a second story man? Or perhaps you're able to bring certain.... influence to bear. It should come as no surprise that all work by GP is held in strictest confidence, and completed with utmost discretion.
Setting:
Steampunk. Location is planet Earth and the year is 1889. The campaign will commence somewhere in London.
Magick also exists, and is taught in colleges around the world. However, you'll not be able to use magick unless you have the gift for it, and have learned to use it. There are also races of magickal origin - elves, dwarves, orcs etc.
However, technology has largely uprooted magick's monopoly on the weird and fantastic, producing gadgets that achieve much the same ends that just about anyone can pick up and use. Wonders for the masses!
A pnuematic tube mail network lines the old underground tunnels of London, steam powered automobiles rush up and down the streets, and magnetronic locomotives whiz around the city overhead.
Playable races:
Dwarf
Half-Elf
Half-Ogre
Half-Orc
Gnome
Human
Example character archetypes:
Detective
Scientist
Engineer
Gadgeteer
Hired Gun
Magician
Learned Wizard
Archeologist
Financier
