Get a look at the first entry of the adventure log "a letter from gordon pembridge". Make sure your character would accept the offer. That is just about the only requirement. There is a questionnaire on the forum as well that will help greatly in creating the character. If you know nothing about GURPS - fill out the questions and I'll have a crack at it and you can let me know what you think. If you are worried about "party balance" ( I myself am not, but others may be? Please chime in.) Then we have: Gadgeteer (in the form of a dirigible engineer) Scoundrel (in the form of a theify half-elf "telekinetic") Investigator (in the form of a do-gooder who talks to ghosts) A magician would make a good face character..... pm me your gmail addy and I'll add you on g+ The Magician would totally go for this. It makes sense, so me anyhow. Fill out what questions where? Added you on g+ and invited to the obsidian portal campaign. The questions are on the forum here: of-steamworks-and-magick-obscura.obsidianportal.com/forumJust reply with answers and I'll knock together a sheet for ya!

drayle88Sounds good. I think the werebeast thing could be funny as some sort of Perk or Quirk. Just to give you fair warning my character concept was the Lone Ranger meets Harry Dresden, but ended up more like the Mountie Benton Fraser from the 90s tv show Due South. He got that hokey overly optimistic good guy attitude. He thinks the reason the street urchin is a criminal is because he's never been shown the reward of an honest day's work. He's Paladin-esque but willing to break the law if the ends justify the means. The Magic Elf Cormac is a kleptomaniac, but the Cowboy hasn't seen him take anything yet. The Cowboy has a lot of disads for helping people, but especially the common working class man. So feel free to rob all you like, but if Clayton catches you ripping off the working class he'll make you give it all back. If he were to catch you ripping of bad guys, he would be conflicted. Me and AJ are already expecting this kind of dynamic between our characters. I don't mind having to straighten out two PCs in honest citizens.

Well, I think I could make a very good argument for the Mounty. Ahem "What I do is a viable, paying job. People pay me to test their security, and whatever I am able to make off with is the payment. If I am caught, I give it back no problem. And sometimes I am contracted to do the same on opposing companies." But yeah, Dimitri doesn't just up and steal. Unless he's paid to. Or really really reeeeaaally wants something that he cant afford ever.

I know it can be a pain sometimes which is why I talked about the concept at character gen. For instance I made sure it was fine with the other players before I took the honesty disad. Its my first super good pc in a while. It should be fun.
