Unisystem, by Eden is fun. They have the cinematic and non cinematic versions. Buffy ad Angel use the cinematic. You can get a copy of the basic system through their flagship initial game, Witchcraft. The offer it for free. Other games like All Flesh, and Armageddon build on it with tons of ideas. So far, Armageddon is my favorite of the bunch, but Witchcraft always holds a special place in my heart.

I just started it for a game I will be running nex month. But, I have about 4 campaigns I am pre-planning for the future. With a subscription, you can hide the campaigns until you're ready. It will hopefully be helpful in letting me get wikis and everything pre-prepared for when I am ready to run them.

I picked it up. I love the Iron Kingdoms. It's a little gamey for me. Too much focus on the mini aspect. That's why i play the wargame. However, that being said, it's a fun enough game, I think. I would love to run a game.

I admit, I haven't picked up Wild Talents yet. Kimi makes it sound awesom on the 'cast, and I am tempted, but it's hard enough to get a Savage Worlds game going... I'd love to play in a game one day and test it out. These articles, however, are swaying me.

It is the 2 player box indeed. I wanted the plastic skinwalkers. Some local players do not like them, but I think they are the coolest mini's and I planned on grabbing eKaya anyway after what I read. Beast heavy lists seem to be more my style. Not as much interested in a construct list.

A member of our gaming group ran a brief one shot using this system. We were already familiar with the system, due to playing a WFRPG 3rd game.
As a note on the WH game, the dice mechanic is fun and all, but I a not a huge fan of the cards beyond the basic cards and the perform a stunt card (Though I like them for spells). I still prefer 2nd edition, but the dice mechanic of 3rd allows for success with complications, and failure with some positive outcomes.
The Star Wars dice follow the same mechanic, with some positive changes. Instead of building larger dice pools, you upgrade dice from dice with less chance of positive incomes to dice with more of a chance of positive income.
Combat was rather fun, and smooth. Death occured quickly, but a little armor seemed to keep us up. We were able to infer things not in the book with a general idea of difficulty.
Character creation is a race with basic attributes, then you pick a specializaton tree under a pofession. These determine your skills, and what talents you can buy from the tree. You can have up to three specializations. This allows you to mix the talent trees.
All in all, we had fun with the system. I prefer using the dice mechanic with the 'triumphs' (The good result that occurs), and 'despairs' results decided by GM interpretation of what fits the story rather than what's on the card.
Hope you enjoyed this mini rant.

I'm located in Grand Prairie. I just joined an established group recently. They are located up the way of the Colony. I tend to game with them on Fridays, and am trying to sync my playstyle with theirs. We're just finishing up a Warhammer 3rd game up, and we'll start an Only War game soon after. I'd recently managed to get them to do a Savage Worlds one shot (As Musketeers protecting a relic for the crown) and I would love to play it again. I met my group on meetup. I'd be happy to meet up with you sometime; We have a guy taking a temporary break from the game when we start Only War, so they may be willing to let me bring in another new guys

I just picked up the Hordes Starter set. Still have to pick up some paints. I am excited about getting into it. Love me some wolves. Circle will be my faction of choice.
