Ok, people.
Let's cool it on the direct insults to people and their jobs, it's uncalled for.
Also let's remember that there is no "one true way" to have fun playing RPGs. You may have your preferences, but it doesn't make you "right" any more than it makes anyone else "wrong". It takes all kinds, folks.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled, and cleaned up, thread.

Okay, I'm locking this thread.
I came up with two simple rules. 1) Don't insult people and 2) If you're going to piss on the pizza, stay out the pizza parlor.
Insulting someone's job is not okay. Neither is saying something to the effect of, "well, it's okay if you like X, but I think people who like X are developmentally disabled."
Both are insults. Both break Rule One. One is just a little more rules-lawyery than the other.
Personally, I like discourse, even when it gets a bit passionate, but these round robin escalations are getting old -- and they're potentially driving away new members.
And everyone involved MUST realize that they're pointless. When two people have an intractable disagreement about something, you BOTH HAVE TO REALIZE that continuing arguing won't accomplish dick. You *DO* know that, yes?
Is it just some compulsion to "win" at foruming? And what exactly do you expect to get from such a victory? A sense of accomplishment? Satisfaction knowing that someone who is equally unwilling to walk away from a bad situation gave up before you?
Meanwhile, the rest of us are wading through this manure.
Why engage with each other at all? There's a block button. Use it!
I'm actually close to booting people. I don't want to, but I will.
