Alright, I was gonna let this one go cuz whatever, but since you guys literally ended on a cliffhanger at the precise key moment I figured I'd bring it up.
Diablerie doesn't end when you drain them dry, and since this whole situation was being played round-by-round, this could definitely matter and keep the tension going even longer.
P.293-294 A vampire seeking to commit diablerie must drain all the blood from his Kindred victim. Following this act, the vampire must continue to suck, for (according to Kindred legend) the very soul is withdrawn from the victim’s body and taken into the diablerist’s. The effort involved in diablerie is monumental, for the vampiric soul is a greedy thing and clings tenaciously to unlife, hoping to regenerate its body and rise once again. Once a vampire’s body has been drained of all blood, the true struggle begins. The diablerist’s player makes an extended Strength roll (difficulty 9). Each success inflicts one automatic health level on the victim (the victim cannot soak, and damage is considered aggravated). When all the victim’s health levels have been drained, the victim’s essence is taken into the attacker and the emptied body begins decaying immediately. A vampire committing diablerie is quite vulnerable to attack. Total concentration goes into the struggle to draw forth the essence of the victim, and stopping for even a moment ruins the chance of capturing the spirit. All attacks against a vampire attempting diablerie are made versus a difficulty of 2.
That last paragraph about the attack difficulty is really just a bonus given the circumstances mwahahahahahahaha Edit: Oh dear me, I forgot. As a further added bonus. Albert's armor really shouldn't be covering his head now should it, hhmmm? mhmhmhmhmahahahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Dance puppets! DANCE!!!

Bwahahahah, I'd love to see a spin-off chronicle/one-shot with Alastor Esmeralda (and crew), trailing anathema through domains all over the world, with the tact and subtlety of a socially inept hurricane

This is one of the best episodes from the entire series (speaking only for me personally). Lots of great moments, including the unexpected combat scene, character interaction between Riley and Esmerelda (apologies if my spelling is off) and -definitely- punctuated by Albert's unpredictability throughout the session. What a cliffhanger! I'm -really- going to hate to see this game go. Great session, y'all!

Yup. Stork is really playing up Albert's desperation. It's fantastic.

I wounder if any one will be ballsy enough to try to use the 5 level Thaumaturgy: Blood Boil to purge an individual of the plague. In theory a Gangrel with Fortitude 'should' be able to survive the treatment. Lets just hope that the plague doesn't turn out to be as Fortified as the carrier.

Gah! So mad I missed this game. Oh, it left on a cliffhanger so you'll TOTALLY get to be a part of it. Especially since you're in the same room as the action...

Oh and why does Esmeralda not use Presence? It is such an awesome power. I figure it's just not her style, she's so uncouth and rough that the idea of trying to be suave and "social" just doesn't occur to her. I mean hell, she doesn't even know how to end phone calls!

Does Ez even have points in presence? I honestly don't know, as I only briefly glanced at her character sheet.

I think Jessie HJ mentioned it being one of her disciplines, but I don't remember if she mentioned points.
