I will call upon the other thread if we are trying to beat it just to beat it...
And I will name the names.

I have designed encounters specifically to target an optimizes weakness. It was played for fun and was more a fish out of water storyline than anything else.
Great fun was had by all.

Ayslyn I wasn't replying specifically to you I was replying specifically to jib. Sorry for the confusion. (I know I should have quoted. My bad. )
It was dramatically appropriate because those risks are what my players expect out of me, though.

I side with JiB on this. The dice have a voice. I roll them in public. Last campaign ended with a TPK. First time that happened in I don't know 15 years? My players enjoyed the whole dirty dozen ending they ended up with even if it was shit dice that got them there. Granted it was a major earth shattering fight and not random encounter 217 or anything but still it happened.

Tim you missed the episode where n season 13 where people came to their senses on the podcast and respected savage worlds for being able to do a fantasy campaign.

You don't dodge those fuckers, even if they do in the movies. I don't think it's so much a question of dodge, per se... it's more a question of, well, I guess that in my mind it would probably be easier to pick off Samwell Tarly with an arrow than it would Jon Snow, because Samwell inherently isn't as quick as Jon and doesn't move around as much. That said, I get what everyone's saying. I'm not opposed to a fixed TN of 4 for missile combat, I was thinking more for those people who, on the podcast's backlog, have said something like, "I really love Savage Worlds but it sucks for fantasy because of the differences in melee and missile combat." I ran a long sundered skies campaign in savage worlds. It does not suck for fantasy.

Ask the happy jackers if they ever had a game disrupted due to he flow of alcohol. We had a D6 Star Wars game where we ran a modified module of Crisis on Cloud City. Every time Lando Calrissian showed up I handed out forties of colt 45. It ended badly.
