In all seriousness, Mote's my favorite game because you all tell a hell of a good story. I don't care quintillionth as much about oversights in game mechanics as I do about the plot, setting, and characterization. I'm also very excited that we now have an imminent threat in Praxis-Prince dialing up the tension. I'm wondering whom (I nearly typed Adrienne there ) Riley and the Moties will be bringing in to help them wrest back control.

I'm pretty sure I do pronounce it correctly. In fact, I'm pretty certain of it.
I may switch my E pronunciation between ae and ee, but I never pronounce it eye ... maybe in very early episodes.

I just... I mean... of all the foibles we've had in the Mote, you want to get upset over the pronunciation of a word? YES!!!! The fewer foibles the better!

That's quite possible, but I know that many of the others commit the UNFORGIVABLE SIN of mispronunciation.

Someone here who has run initiative in V20 right, reporting for duty.
Initiative in V20 is not hard or a pain in the ass. It makes all the sense in the world, so much so that I've actually toyed with houserules to tighten it up (and reduce the desire to use celerity as a nuke, more on this later). What's so nice about initiative is that winning gives a tangible benefit, the ability to know what everyone who lost to you is going to do. You can plan your turn around what you know others are going to do. Do you need to save an action for defense? Should you full defense this turn? These are all things that winning initiative tells you.
Now, since dexterity plays a role in getting a high modifier to your initiative rolls, celerity can help you win IF you don't spend it on extra actions. Spending blood on celerity allows you to basicly ignore the laws of physics and move in unnatural/impossible ways, but using it passively allows you to survey a scene in slow motion. You can have the perfect reaction to every move because you see it coming. Thats what happens when you win initiative!
My house rule is to do away with the dice roll or roll a D4 instead. One way makes initiative static (which can be a turn off for some) and insures spending blood on celerity has a cost. If you use all your celerity you may end up ceding the initiative. The version with the D4 keeps a random factor, but still keeps celerity dots as important assets for passive use. You could also try 1d6+1d4, which gives the same maximum result but clusters more results in an average than rolling a single die.

Also, minor quibble that I've been meaning to bring up for a while but kept forgetting. It's Ant Ediluvian, not Ant Idiluvian. "Ante" to rhyme with Aunty not "Anti" to rhyme with Hentai. "Ante" as in preceding or coming before, not "Anti" as in opposing or disliking something. They're named that because they predate the great flood, as in "Noah's Epic Boating Adventure." The important bit is that they were there before the flood and they survived it and are still around and kicking thousands of years later, THAT'S the impressive bit that gave their generation its name. No one gives a shit if they were opposed to the flood or not, I mean they probably didn't like it but that's not really the impressive part. No one's going to name an entire generation of ancient, immortal, undead, godlike superbeings after the fact that they didn't want to get wet. This bothered me, too, but I'm already such a pedant in real life, so I didn't want to say anything. ^^;; That said, I do love the silliness of activists who campaign against floods not because they're dangerous but because they just don't like the damp. Is this like Antibellum? (snickers) RudeAlert The way that demons handle extra actions is in the errata in Players handbook. I really wish that game had gotten better treatment. It's such an interesting game and they rushed it out the door because they were moving on. I both Love and Hate Demon with a passion. I love all the individual things they did I just hate the conformation of Judeo-Christian mythology. As much as Vampire is my favorite, I prefer the much more "Dunno, maybe magick?" answers one got out of the Mage line, made mixing much less grating. Also, Looky ma only one post!

Well that should be considered a given by now right? But seriously though, no I think most have committed this most heinous of misdeed. Stork is certainly one of them but in this particular case he's not the only guilty party. And all guilty parties MUST HAAANNNGGG!!!
